Unfortunately, we are hearing incidents of medicos taking extreme steps. Last month, a final year Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS) student committed suicide by hanging himself. The medico passed away just hours before the exams. The incident raised many eyeballs in Telangana.
Joining the list another medico committed suicide. A second-year MBBS student was reportedly found hanging in his room in the hostel. The victim is just 21 years old. As another shocking thing, the incident has a connection with the old one as both are from the Nizamabad district and both are medical students.
The victim is identified as Sanath who is pursuing his MBBS. The youth hails from the Peddapalli district. He is studying at Nizamabad Medical College. Sanath was reportedly found hanging in his room on Friday.
Shockingly, the practical exams are slated for commencement tomorrow. Ahead of the exams, he took an extreme step. Media reports say that the victim sent a last message to his parents and also requested his brother to come back to Hyderabad from the United States.
In the alleged message, the victim reportedly told his parents that he wanted to take the extreme step after giving Pharma Paper 1, but he did not do it as friends and lecturers will get disturbed.
Though the exact reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained, the reports hint that the second-year student might have fell prey to the studies tension and take the extreme step. A case has been filed in this regard and the investigation is underway. More details are awaited and the cops would announce the exact reason behind this soon.
Many say that MBBS is not everyone's cup of tea as it takes a lot of learning as they have to study for long hours. With this, many students drop out of their studies. Even after dropping out, they have to face big pressure from parents and relatives given the big money they spent.
These incidents add fuel to such opinions. Be it Sanath or Doctor Harsha, they both passed away ahead of the exams. As the two MBBS students hanged themselves ahead of the exams, we have to doubt that there is a big pressure on the doctors.
