TRS Atmeeya Sammelanams turn into slanging matches

The ruling TRS in Telangana is now busy holding "Atmeeya Sammelanams"  for the party workers. The meetings, intended to re-energise the estranged party cadres, would be completed by April 25.  However, the meetings are reportedly turning into slanging matches between old timers and new comers.

For instance, an Atmeeya Sammelanam was recently held in Telangana Bhavan. While Dasoju Sravan was appointed the coordinator, the whole programme was organised and conducted by minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav. This has led to lot of heartburn and several leaders questioned Talasani's dominance in Hyderabad's party affairs.

At another Atmeeya Sammelanam held three days ago in Karimnagar, several party leaders have raised a banner of revolt. They said the MLAs and ministers were ignoring them. They argued that they are unable to go to the voters as they have no say whatsoever in the party affairs.  Minister Gangula Kamalakar had a tough time cooling them off.

Similar ruckus was witnessed in another meeting held for Ranga Reddy district. The party workers argued that minister Sabitha Indra Reddy was playing favourites. One section of the party was being completely ignored, they argued. Finally, Sabitha had to convince them by saying that she would address their grievances.
