Conduct Republic Day Celebrations, Court Directs TS Govt!

Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao and Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan have many issues and everyone knows that. The fight between them even hit the headlines many times as they openly expressed their dissatisfaction with each other. While the Governor said that her office is not being respected the government said that the Governor is going out of track.

The issue even resulted in the Telangana government deciding to not conduct the Republic Day event. The same happened last year. However, the Covid fear was still intact in 2022 so it was understood that the government did not hold the event. But the case is not the same this time.

A petition was filed in the Telangana High Court questioning why the state government did not make any announcement on the Republic Day event. Tomorrow is Republic Day and there is no info on this. A petitioner knocked on the doors of the High Court seeking intervention.

Now the High Court made it clear that the Republic Day event should be held and directed the state government on this. The bench said that the event should be held along with a parade and the guidelines issued by the Union government on this should be followed.

However, the bench said that the state government can fix a place to hold the celebrations. The Parade grounds have been hosting the Republic event for years. The government might go for the same event or else the ruling party might pick another place to host the grand event.
