'Naatu Naatu' Gets Nominated For The Oscars!

The much-awaited moment is finally here and the list of nominees for the 95th edition of the Oscar Awards in various categories is finally here. As expected, the 'Naatu Naatu' song which won the Golden Globe Award already has been nominated for Oscars in the 'Best Original Song' category.

Along with the massy track from 'RRR', the other nominations include 'Applause' by Diane Warren, 'Hold My Hand' which is composed and written by Lady Gaga. It is from Tom Cruise's 'Top Gun: Maverick' film, 'Lift Me Up' from 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'. The music is by Rihanna, Ryan Coogler and others. The other nominee is 'This Is A Life' from 'Everything Everywhere All At Once' which is composed by Ryan Lott, David Byrne and Mitski.

This is the only nomination 'RRR' managed to get. While there are other nominations that people hoped 'RRR' might get nominated, it is a great honour to get a nomination at the Oscars especially considering the fact that it is not an official entry from the Indian jury members.

Apart from a few noted Hollywood actors, 'RRR' has actors like Shriya Saran, Rajeev Kanakala, Samuthirakani and others did key roles. NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem while Ram Charan plays the role of Alluri Seetha Ramaraju in this massive film which is set in the backdrop of the pre-Independence era.
