People in India are talking about the burqa now after a few students were suspended from college. A few Muslim male students danced on stage to Bollywood songs wearing burqas and the vidoes went all over social media. The video caught everyone's attention as boys wore hijabs.
Four Muslim male students at the St Joseph Engineering College in Mangaluru suddenly barged onto the stage and danced to songs. The video raised many objections and many said that it disrespected the burqa and Islam.
A few netizens alleged that people from other religions might be behind this to mock their religion. But the college management took to Twitter to clear the doubts in the case and said that they were Muslim students and were suspended for violating the rules.
"The video clip being circulated in social media has captured a part of the dance by students of the Muslim community itself who barged on stage during the informal part of students association inaugural," the college management said on Twitter.
The College management said that the dance was not planned earlier and the students all of a sudden barged onto the stage and began dancing to the songs. After the issue came to its notice the management suspended them and further investigation is on.
