What Next For Parasuram After 'SVP'?

Talented filmmaker Parasuram Petla proved that he is very good at handling comedy and emotions. Right from his first film 'Anjaneyulu', he aced the comedy scenes as people still enjoy the hilarious track between Ravi Teja and Brahmanandam. His films are never short of entertainment. Movies like 'Solo', 'Srirasthu Subhamasthu' and 'Geetha Govindam' became hits mainly because of the hilarious moments.

But he faltered whenever there was a serious story to be told to the audience. 'Saarocharu' failed quite badly because the film had more drama than comedy. Even in 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata', he showed his prowess in the love track between Mahesh and Keerthy Suresh during the first half. But the film was dragged and turned quite routine once the story turned towards banks and money. He is praised for showcasing Mahesh in an energetic way. Many people remembered the 'Khaleja' days of Mahesh while watching 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' but the film fell short of everyone's expectations.

Though the film earned huge due to Mahesh's star power, trade pundits say that the film may end its run with minor losses. This is the first big hero film Parasuram handled and many say that he did a decent job which is neither great nor worst. But he failed to give everyone the confidence that he can handle a star hero project and deliver what is expected.

During the interaction with the media, Parasuram said that his next film is going to be with Naga Chaitanya as it was announced long back. Irrespective of its result, we need to see whether he gets a chance to work with other star heroes in the upcoming days or not.
