Telangana IG inspects Medaram Festival arrangements!

Telangana has a rich history of celebrating various festivals and the popular tribal festival, the Sammakka Saralamma jatara or the Medaram Jatara stands alone compared to the other festivals. The famous festival attracts good footfall and devotees from various parts of the country attend the fair.

One of the popular festivals of the state will be celebrated between 16 to 18th of next month. The Tadwai forests in the Mulugu district hosts the largest Tribal festival and all the required arrangements for the festival have been made and the concerned officials looked into the arrangements.

Telangana Inspector General Nagireddy shared the details of the arrangements and said that 10,000 Police personnel will be deployed at the festival site to see that no unwanted scenes take place during the celebrations. He had inspected the VIP Parking space.

The Inspector General said that as many as 380 CCTVs will be installed for the festival to monitor the situation. On the occasion, the IG had requested the devotees coming for the Tribal festival to follow the Covid protocols and co-operate with the Police and Revenue Department officials.
