King Kohli breaks Sachin's record to reach a rare milestone!

India did not get the required start for the ODI series against South Africa. Despite getting a good start, India could not take forward a positive start. As a result, India suffered a defeat against South Africa by a margin of 31 runs.

Former skipper Virat Kohli who played his part in chasing the target with a stunning half-century had surpassed a record of God of cricket Sachin Tendulkar. Virat surpassed Sachin's record in terms of more runs in ODI format outside India.

Legendary player Sachin Tendulkar held the record of having the most runs as an Indian player in ODI format outside India with 5,065 runs. Breaking the record, Virat Kohli now has 5,108 runs, the highest for any Indian player.

Looking at the overall view, Virat Kohli recorded the second-highest runs after Sri Lanka's greatest Kumar Sangakkara, who has 5,518 runs.

Virat Kohli took lesser innings than Sachin Tendulkar to reach the milestone that too with a better average. While Sachin Tendulkar took 147 innings to score 147 runs, Kohli went past the same milestone in just 104 innings. Virat Kohli recorded a better average with 58 than Sachin Tendulkar's 37.

Looking at the Indian players who found a place in the category, the list includes noted players like former skippers Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Rahul Dravid, and serving chief of Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) Sourav Ganguly.

Mr.Cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni stood at third place with 4520 runs in 124 innings, followed by Mr. Dependable Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly with 3998 and 3468 runs respectively.

Virat Kohli also has a stunning record against South Africa, one of the biggest cricketing nations in the world. With 1287, Virat Kohli recorded eighth best-run scores against the team. His runs include four tons and six half-centuries with an average of over 64.

The current ODI series marks the first series after Virat Kohli lost his ODI captaincy. The BCCI made Hitman Rohit Sharma the full-time white-ball skipper. This became a huge topic as Virat Kohli said he was not informed about this, contrary to what the selectors had said.
