Shyam Singha Roy is dedicated to Sirivennela

Telugu Cinema is blessed with lyricists like Athreya, Veturi Sundararama Murthy and Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry. Unfortunately, we lost all three of them.

Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry died due to lung cancer after fighting with the disease bravely for few years. He continued working for different films even though his health did not permit him.

Now, the movie Shyam Singha Roy starring Nani, Sai Pallavi, Kreethy Shetty, team have released a song written by him and they have announced that it is his last long as a lyricist. The lyricist himself said this to the director.

Rahul Sankritiyan, director of the film said that in November the lyricist contacted him and told him that he cannot write the song. But the director asked him to complete it by himself and the lyricist contacted next day and dictated the song.

He told the director that this could be his last song and the director exclaimed that there are five lines about Mahabharata, one line about Sirivennela.

Team titled the song as Sirivennela and Nani dedicated the film to the lyricist. The song is composed by composer Mickey J Mayor. Here you can listen to it:
