India's Tour of Australia: Australia Crush India By 66 Runs

The team India led by Virat Kohli started its first International series after the Covid-19 outbreak with the much anticipated Aussies tour with the ODI series which started today.

The men in blue started the Aussies tour with a loss. The Virat Kohli's men fell 66 runs short while chasing a target of 374. India lost early wickets while chasing the target.

Australian skipper Aaron Finch won the toss and opted to bat first. He played captain innings by scoring 114 runs off 124 balls. Steve Smith's century and David Warner's half-century powered the Kangaroo team to put up a score of 374.

Chasing the target, India lost four wickets, Mayank Agarwal, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer for just 101 wickets. Shikhar Dhawan and Hardik Pandya tried to escalate things.

Shikhar Dhawan(74) and Hardik Pandya(90)'s heroics didn't help team India. In their 50 overs quota, the men in blue managed to add 308 for eight to the scoreboard. Adam Zampa and Josh Hazlewood registered four and three wickets respectively.

With this, the Kangaroo team went one up in the ODI series. The second ODI will be played on the 29th of this month.
