Rohit Sharma A Step Away To Join The Likes Of Virat Kohli And Suresh Raina

Indian star cricketer Rohit Sharma, who leads the Mumbai Indians franchise in the Indian Premier League(IPL) is just a step away from making another rare record in the tournament.

Rohit Sharma is just two runs away from reaching the milestone of 5,000 runs in IPL and joining the likes of Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) skipper Virat Kohli and Chennai Super Kings(CSK) batsman Suresh Raina in the elite list.

Virat Kohli is at the top slot in this list with 5,430 runs with a strike rate of 131.13, followed by Suresh Raina who scored 5,368 runs in 193 matches with a strike rate of 137.11.

Rohit Sharma, who played 191 matches in IPL has scored 4,998 runs with a strike rate of 130.97.

Mumbai Indias will lock horns with Kings XI Punjab led by KL Rahul today. In the match against KKR, Rohit Sharma made a record of second Indian batsmen to hit 200 sixes in IPL after Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
