Major Security Breach: Over 100 Systemsat NIC With Crucial Information Compromised

In a shocking development, the National Informatics Centre (NIC) recorded a major security breach after over 100 computers that contain confidential information of several VVIPs including PM Narendra Modi were compromised allegedly.

Some media reports claimed that the hackers have broken into the data of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, senior government functionaries stored in the systems.

It has been widely reported that the security breach took place after the hackers sent an e-mail along with a link to the employees working at the NIC. Once the mail receivers click the link attached to the e-mail, it enables the hackers to access the data and files on the computers.

After identifying the security breach, the NIC lodged a complaint with the special cell of the Delhi Police. The security breach is believed to have taken place in early September.

After digging deep into the incident, the special police have reportedly found that the e-mail was sent from a firm located in Bengaluru.

The special cell police are also looking into the aspect of dragon country China’s hand behind the security breach. There might be a chance of China’s role in this. However, there is no official confirmation on this.
