A UK Court Awards Life Imprisonment To Indian-Origin Man For Killing Estranged Wife

A court in the United Kingdom(UK)  took a serious note of an Indian origin-citizen for brutally killing his estranged wife and awarded life imprisonment for the guilty.

Going into detail, 23-year-old Indian-origin Jigukumar Sorthi was awarded life imprisonment of a minimum of 28 years for killing his wife, 21-year-old Bhavini Pravin.

The victim was killed brutally by stabbing her at her residence in Leicester city. The incident took place in March.

Looking at the timeline of the crime, the incident took place on the 2nd of March. The attacker reached the victim's house and the duo talked for some time. After the victim canceled the wedding plans, the attacker stabbed the victim multiple times.

The jury of a UK court which heard the case slammed the guilty with a serious note. The jury called the incident as horrific and merciless killing and said the guilty took the life of a young woman.
