Private Hospital Refuses To Hand Over Body Until The Bill Amount Is Cleared

Ever since the private hospitals were permitted to treat the pandemic patients, the hospitals are charging huge amounts to treat pandemic patients. Despite the warnings given by the government and High Court, there is no change in hospital behavior.

One more incident surfaced in pearl city Hyderabad where the Hospital management refused to hand over the corpse of the pandemic patient until the balance bill amount is paid.

Going into detail,  a person who works as a security guard contacted the ongoing pandemic and admitted himself to a private hospital in Hyderabad for further treatment.

Sadly, he breathed his last breath on the 12th of this month undergoing treatment. The hospital charged a whopping Rs 20 lakh for treatment of 22 days. Despite the family paid over 11 lakhs, the hospital management stressed the family to pay the balance amount.

Some media reports claim that with no option left, the family members of the deceased pandemic patient reached out to the health officials and complained about the issue.

Recently, a similar incident took place in Hyderabad where a private hospital refused to hand over the body of a pandemic patient until the balance bill amount is cleared. Son of the deceased patient complained about the incident to IT Minister KTR too.
