Distributors Stand Against Seat Reduction In Theatres!

Yesterday, there were some photos of Hyderabad's Sudharshan theatre on social media. These pics show how they are going to maintain a gap between one seat to another. These pictures raised many concerns about how the business runs like this and what will happen if the ticket rates are increased. But sources say that the exhibitors are against this seat reduction thing.

There are reportedly claiming that they are ready to wait for some more time but reducing the occupancy rate will not be helping in any way. They are saying that they can do thermal checking, distancing in the lines and maintaining sanitation in the theatre between every show but they are not agreeing to the reducing of occupancy levels in theatres.

They are arguing that it takes a lot of pay salaries, power and lease bills. The past few months have been very tough and reducing the occupancy will be of no use to them whatsoever. Talk is that the exhibitors want to run theatres in full capacity or close the theatres once and for all.
