Uber India Sacks 600 Employees

As part of combating the crisis created by the ongoing pandemic, Uber has removed 600 employees working in different destinations and teams in India which shows us the deadly impact created by the virus.

These layoffs were part of the job cuts announced by the Uber long back at a global scenario which is carrying out in a phased manner in various countries and now its the turn of India.

The workforce who were laid off by the company will be provided with a payout of not less than 10 weeks along with medical insurance coverage for the coming six months.

President for Uber's India and South Asia businesses, Pradeep Parameswaran issued a statement in this regard and termed this as an incredibly sad day as the colleagues were leaving the company

As of now, Uber has laid off more than 6,700 employees across the world as a result of the crisis.
