Brazil Becomes The Second Worst-Affect Nation

In what it could be a shocker, Brazil surpassed Russia and turned out as the second worst-affected nation in the world in terms of infections as the toll of cases in Brazil stood at 3,30,890.

The United States continues to be the worst affected nation in the world with the most number of infections of the virus. There are 1.64M positive cases in the United States.

What's even more shocking is that 1,001 fatalities were reported in Brazil in the past 24 hours, which takes the total toll of the fatalities in the nation to 21,048. In just a span of 11 days the fatality count doubled.

The Sao Paulo region in Brazil reported the lion share of the positive cases of the virus and the region was declared as the hotspot of the dreaded virus.

The situation in Brazil took an ugly turn with Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro terming the pandemic as a general fever and he even found fault with authorities announcing 'Stay Home' orders as a safety measure.
