ICC T20 World Cup likely to get postponed

The ongoing pandemic has left a deadly impact on many fields around us and teh sporting events are one of them. As a result, even the Tokyo Olympics which is scheduled to be held in July 2020 was also postponed.

In the wake of this, some media reports emerged that the ICC T20 Worldcup hosted by Australia might get postponed and in the place of Worldcup, the 13th edition of IPL will be held.

The International Cricket Council(ICC) meetings will be held between 26 and 28 of this month to discuss some key issues in the meeting which will be conducted through video-conference.

It has been widely reported that the ICC will discuss postponing the T20 world cup which is scheduled to start from the 18th of October for which 16 teams will be competing for the title.

The Cricket Australia(CA) is looking at the possibilities of conducting the event as the government directed the officials that outers who come to their country should be lazaretto for 14 days.

If the cricket teams go to Australia, the members of all these 16 teams should be shifted to lazaretto which makes it difficult for the CA to provide facilities for all of them, forcing it to give a thought of postponing the WorldCup. Let's hope that ICC comes up with a respectable decision on the cricket events.
