Why Film Industry Biggies Have Suddenly Met YS Jagan?

At long last, the Telugu film industry shed its diffidence and reluctance to meet AP chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The occasion was to request him to inaugurate the houses constructed by the film industry for the Hudhud victims.  But, there seems to be more to it than meets the eye.

The film industry has traditionally been a Kamma bastion and most of the Telugu industry biggies have always been pro-TDP.  In fact, leaders like Murali Mohan, Raghavendra Rao, AVS and others have held positions during the TDP rule and had openly campaigned for the party.  The Kapu-led filmi group has remained closer to the Congress and leaders like Dasari Narayana Rao and Chiranjeevi have had their stature. There were not many YSRCP supporters in the industry. Personalities like Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu have dual sympathies and comedians like Pruthvi do not have the stature to command respect. So, despite Jagan winning a landslide, none from the film industry met him. But, now it appears that the film industry, which cannot live without the support from the government, has decided to break ice with Jagan Mohan Reddy.  Now that Vizag is going to be developed as a capital city, the industry has suddenly woken up and felt that it is time to get pally with Jagan.  So, the industry biggies cleverly excluded all pro-TDP elements and met YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Though inauguration of Hudhud houses is a pretext, the industry now realises that Vizag is important for them and with Vizag set to become the capital, they have no other option but to be in the good books of Jagan.
