High Court Squashes the petition of Privatization

The strike observed by the RTC employees has reached 50 days. With the government not willing to take back the employees who went for a strike the employees continued the strike.

Employees had a great hope on the High Court that it can settle their dispute with the government. RTC JAC has filed a petition to counter the decision of Telangana CM KCR to privatize the 5100 buses in Telangana.

The High Court made it clear that it cannot intervene in the decision taken by the cabinet and quashed the petition filed by the JAC. This has paved a path for the Telangana government to privatize the routes.

Interestingly, the High Court has found fault with the government's decision has delivered this verdict u[pon hearing the versions of both the sides.

KCR will reportedly take a final call on the future of RTC and its employees. RTC has made it clear earlier that they will call off the strike if the government takes back the employees.

Not only employees, but the normal public is also eagerly waiting for the decision of the government.
