Maharashtra CM Fadnavis resigns from his Post

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhavan, which is in South Mumbai and submitted his resignation.
Fadnavis said that Bhagat Singh has asked him to continue as the acting Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

From the time of election results were released, BJP and Shiv Sena were stuck to their respective demands. The Shiv Sena is very strong on its demand for sharing the power with a ratio of 50:50. But BJP said that they will offer deputy CM post for their ally.

The deadline for dissolving the Assembly is fast approaching. The deadline for the current Assembly ends tomorrow. With only a few hours left to complete the tenure of the Assembly, Fadnavis resigned from his post.

Interestingly, both the parties are claiming that they will form the government. We will get the full details of this once the official statement comes.
