Vijay Deverakonda enjoys terrific fan following in Nizam. That is why, 'Dear Comrade' raked in a share of Rs 3 crore on Day 1 itself. Shockingly, Nizam revenue remained under Rs 7 crore even after the completion of First Week. That clearly indicates the rapid drop in collections as days progressed.
In Nizam Territory, Geetha Govindam and Taxiwala collected Rs 19 crore and Rs 8.5 crore respectively by the end of full run. Theatrical Rights of 'Dear Comrade' were sold for Rs 11 crore in this region. Generating not more than Rs 7 crore till date reflects outright rejection from the Movie Buffs.
Makers failed to offer a gripping narration inspite of multiple re-shoots. Even stretching the serious issue discussed in the film for too long has been a spoiler. Keeping the run-time short with crisp editing prior to the release could have been the trick that's missing here.
