Speaking at a high level security meeting participated by Union Ministers following the IED Blast that killed 44 CRPF Jawans, Narendra Modi made it clear that those responsible for the terror attack will pay a very heavy price. 'Terrorists and those who are backing them had made a big mistake...you will have to pay a heavy price. Security Forces have been given full freedom to act against terror...You fix the time, place and nature of response. This is an India of new convention & policy...We will offer a befitting reply,' he pledged.
Modi opined the dream of Pakistan to destabilise India will never come true. He called for unity among people and parties in the country to defeat the common enemy. PM termed the terror attack of Pak as a desperation as it had been forced to approach various countries with a begging bowl to meet its daily expenses. Thanking all the countries which backed India after the blast, He stressed that Terrorism won't survive for long if all nations come together.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley hinted about diplomatic steps to be taken by India to isolate Pakistan. Following the terror attack, US warned Pakistan to bring an end to making the country a safe haven to terror groups.
