As another shock to Pawan Kalyan and his followers, the Election Commission of India in its recent list of the political parties on the status enjoyed by the outfits like national and regional parties had reportedly left out Jana Sena.
According to the reports, the Election Commission had termed Jana Sena as a party without any recognition and the party also lost the common symbol Glass Tumbler reportedly.
The commission had compiled the data on the status of the political parties in the countries by taking the aspects like the seats won by the respective parties and the votes attracted by them. On the same parameters, the election body said as many as 2796 parties were not recognised including Jana Sena.
If any election comes in Andhra Pradesh, Janasena can't claim glass tumbler as its election symbol unless it claims the symbol as theirs, before others. The same situation was faced by the party for the Tirupati by-elections.
The list issued by the Election Commission says that BJP, TMC, Congress, BSP, Left, NCP, National People's Party are the National party, while TRS, YSRCP, TDP, AIMIM from Telugu states were declared as regional parties.
