Is the TDP out to lose one of its most vocal leaders? Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who is one of the most vocal, powerful and firebrand leader in Krishna district, is all set to join the YSRCP. On Friday, Vamsi met Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and this set off furious debate over the possibility of his joining the YSRCP. More significantly, Vamsi did not participate in the protests that the TDP has organised on the issue of sand mining. Instead, he went to Jagan’s official residence along with Kodali Nani and Perni Nani.

Vamsi, who has been with the TDP through the thick and thin, never had a comfortable relationship with Chandrababu Naidu. He was always viewed with suspicion because of his close association with both Vangaveeti Radha and Kodali Nani of the YSRCP. He is also maintaining close relations with Sujana Chowdary, who has since joined the BJP and is actively working to woo key TDP leaders into his party.

The only hitch, it is being said, is that YS Jagan is insisting that he resign his post as an MLA and join the YSRCP. He would have to seek a fresh mandate from the people in the bypolls. Most probably, Vallabhaneni Vamsi may reveal his plans post Diwali. As of now, there is no attempt from Chandrababu Naidu to talk to Vamsi.

So, will Vamsi fire crackers post Diwali?
