This move came in the wake of the special court mentioning that accused in the financial crimes cannot be excluded as this is a money-laundering case and comes under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act(PMLA)
Earlier the special court said: "A1 (Reddy) shall make his appearance on the next date failing which appropriate orders will be passed."
This forced Jagan to move the AP High Court to challenge the CBI court's dismissal of his plea to exempt him from appearing before the CBI court. In his plea, Jagan reportedly said that he has to overlook the administration and said how can the plea be quashed on the grounds of his case count.
In spite of repeated efforts from him, he is unable to convince the court and get a complete exemption for appearing before the court. Though he got relief now and then, he has been appearing before the court regularly.
Let's see if the High Court can grant an exemption to Jagan from appearing before the court every Friday. This point is giving chance to the Opposition leaders to mock the CM on his Friday activity.
