But, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy sensed the Opposition plans and issued prohibitory orders all across the Amaravati area successfully thwarting the Opposition plans. Then the cabinet discussed the GN Rao report and the report pertaining to the TDP land grab in the capital area. This ensured that the TDP and its land grab was exposed. He had put the TDP on the defensive. Then instead of taking a decision on Vizag, he said the government would wait for the report of the Boston Consulting Group, which too is studying the capital issue. This effectively means that a decision now could be taken only in the second week of January. This also means that the TDP has to sustain the movement for another two weeks at least on the issue.
In the final analysis, YS Jagan got want he wanted. He made the TDP waste its time on the issue and then find itself under attack over the issue of the land grab. The TDP leaders are now forced to explain that they are not land grabbers and no body believes them. So, this round too has gone in favour of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
