Telangana State Hikes Liquor Prices, Here Are The New Prices

The Telangana government on Monday hiked the liquor rates ahead of Christmas and New Year celebrations in the state.

The Telangana government increased the prices of liquor by 10 per cent, which will be effective from Tuesday. Price of beer has been increased by Rs 10 to Rs 20, depending upon the brand.

As per revised rates, a Royal Stag 750 ml bottle will now be available for Rs. 680 as against the existing price of Rs. 600. A Kingfisher beer will be sold for Rs.120 as against the existing price of Rs.100.

Rs 9,000 will be collected as a fee for each day for the conduct of get-together events outside the GHMC area. Rs12,000 will be collected in the four-star hotels and above. Sports, commercial and entertainment events, the fee is Rs 50,000 (sale of event tickets up to 1,000) while it will be Rs 1 lakh (sale of event tickets up to 5,000) and Rs 2.5 lakh (sale of tickets above 5,000 for events conducted in the stadium, open place and auditorium). For all clubs having C-1 licence, the fee will be Rs 5,000 for each day.
