Few Producers locked the building of Tamil Film Producers Council in T Nagar accusing misuse of funds by Vishal. When Vishal tried to break the lock Today, Police took him into custody to take the situation under control. The Actor questioned, 'Where are the Cops when unauthorised people locked the office Yesterday'.
Tamil Producer Alagappan made sensational allegations - 'Vishal is a criminal. He was involved in many criminal activities. He maintains dealings with piracy website Tamil Rockers which leaked all the star-studded films (Sarkar, 2.O, Thugs Of Hinduston) released in 2018. How could this happen without the support of influential people in the Industry? He is pretending to be fighting against piracy, but obtaining percentage from Tamil Rockers. While Producers Council in Karnataka isn't allowing the release of dubbing films in their state, Vishal himself has been releasing dubbed flick 'KGF' in Tamil Nadu. This move hasn't gone down well with Tamil Producers. Although they demanded for General Body Meeting to discuss about it, Vishal delayed the meeting till March next year citing Ilayaraja's Concert. He is always concerned only about his personal work'.
A controversy erupted over offering permission for the release of 9 films in a day. One of the films happens to 'KGF' which is being released by Vishal in Tamil Nadu.
Few Members in Vishal's Camp shifted to the opposite camp because of this controversy. The demand for resignation of Vishal as Producers Council President kept growing day-by-day.
