In a live press conference, Cyber Expert Syed Shuja who claimed EVMs used during 2014 Elections in India were hacked made a shocking allegation that BJP Leader & Union Minister Gopinath Munde was murdered because he was aware of the EVM hacking in the last election. He himself claimed to have fled India in 2014 due to life threat after some of his team members were killed.

Syed Shuja told NIA Officer Tanzil Ahmed investigating the death case was killed as he was supposed to file an FIR stating Gopinath Munde was murdered.

In October 2014, CBI closed the death case of Gopinath Munde saying he died of injuries suffered during road accident and no foul play was involved.

After the sensational claims of Cyber Expert, NCP Leader & Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Council Dhananjay Munde demanded thorough probe by either RAW or a Supreme Court Judge on the death of his Uncle Gopinath Munde.
