Second schedule of the film will start soon and the movie is said to be Telugu well-known legend's story. The full clarity about the details like story, lead cast, no.of shooting days, is still fuzzy.
The latest information about the film is that it will be pushed as a Pan-Indian film for Hindi, Telugu, Tamil simultaneous release. As the budget is too high, Pawan Kalyan opted to take non-theatrical rights of the film as his full remuneration.
He took an advance from AM Ratnam long time ago and he did not take any extra rupee to sign the new agreement for the film to go on floors, it seems.
Megastar Chiranjeevi tried to push a good Telugu local leader film to Pan-India film level and that hurt Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. In Telugu, it ran well but it did not cross Baahubali-1, even though it had potential.
It ended up as a flop in other languages. The changes made to the original screenplay by Paruchuri Brothers, to fit Pan-India narrative also did not work as well as expected.
Krish might be thinking about getting back at Kangana Ranaut after their public dispute about Manikarnika credits and the change in screenplay, by taking this movie to Pan-India level.
Pawan Kalyan might be known as a politician today to core-Hindi audiences and we cannot take one area or two areas craze as National wide craze for an actor. PSPK hit films did have some houseful shows at remote places in West Bengal, Orissa but that doesn't mean that he has a market like Prabhas does, today.
So, trade pundits are circumspect and are advising the makers to look at making an entertaining film for Telugu audiences like Gautamiputra Satakarni and then think about a Pan-India push. May be they are right!
