In 2014 Elections, YCP Candidate Naveen Nischal was defeated by Nandamuri Balakrishna in Hindupur Constituency with a margin of around 16,000 votes. Once again, Balayya is contesting from the same segment. So, There is curiosity among everyone about the YCP Candidate for Hindupur in 2019.

Until recently, Naveen Nischal was the YCP in-charge of Hindupur Constituency. Abdul Ghani was appointed in his place after his defection into YCP. This gave an impression that he will be the YCP Candidate for next elections. However, Abdul Ghani has withdrawn from race just before the elections citing health issues.

As per the latest update, Former Police officer Iqbal Ahmed was finalised as YCP Candidate for Hindupur Constituency. Jagan had even managed to ensure Iqbal Ahmed and Naveen Nischal reach a compromise. These two leaders will be working together for the victory of YCP in Hindupur.
