In a much relief to the turmeric farmers, the Centre said that a new Spices Regional extension center will be set up in Nizamabad. Talking about the same Union Minister Piyush Goyal made some sensational comments and spoke about the ex[ansion of the board.

The Union Minister went on to say that the regional board will not only focus on the turmeric corps and also on exporting other pulses. "The board will assist in all possible ways to export the crops after harvested," Piyush Goyal said.

To get a higher price for the spices the board will hold meetings with the farmers as well as the international sellers.

If this proposed board gets started, this will be a huge loss to the ruling TRS party as the party failed to do so in the past five years. The turmeric board played a trump card in the defeat of TRS MP Kavitha.
