Rajinikanth felt overwhelmed for selecting him for this award. He took to Twitter to share his happiness. ''I thank the government of India for this prestigious honour bestowed upon me on the golden jubilee of the International film festival of India,'' read his tweet.
Famous French actress Isabelle Huppert will be awarded Lifetime Achievement Award. Meanwhile, Russia will be the partner country for the festival and almost 50 films directed by women filmmakers will be showcased during the film festival to acknowledge how much women have contributed to the world of Cinema.
Seven or eight of Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchanâ€™s hand-picked films will also be showcased during the festival.
