Presence of Uddhav Thackeray's son in key government meeting raises hackles

Who will run the Shiv Sena-led Government in Maharashtra? These questions are being raised in view of some recent developments. While being a junior partner of the ragtag coalition, the Nationalist Congress Party of  Sharad Pawar seems to be calling the shots. It is likely to get more ministries and is also asserting itself over Shiv Sena. On Wednesday, the NCP demanded that the cases against the Maratha leaders in the infamous Bhima Koregaon case be lifted and an obedient Shiv Sena immediately complied. All this has shown that it is the NCP which is actually controlling the levers of the Government and that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is a mere puppet.

Also, the presence of Aditya Thackeray, who is just an MLA, and his cousin  Varun Sardesai at the meetings that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray with key officials is also raising hackles. Varun is not even an MLA. In what capacity did both attend the meeting is a question and many are questioning their presence in the meeting.  The pic of Varun and Aditya attending the key government meeting was shared on Twitter by a journalist and several netizens have raised questions about it.

"Is this @AUThackeray having any ministerial post or any government officer at current situation..?
Its wrong thing," asked a Twitterati. Another suggested: Dear @CMOMaharashtra , if you want Aditya Thackeray to attend all meetings, ask him to resign as MLA & appoint him as your OSD / PS / PA.That way he can 'officially' attend meetings & you too will get a safe seat (since Sena anyways lost Bandra East).

Varun Sardesai, who calls him a wannabe Neta, is a core committee member of the Yuva Sena, the youth wing of the party. But he is neither an MLA nor has a position in the CMO.
