South Korean film Parasite which won the prestigious Oscars for the best screenplay made the world look at the film by grabbing four awards at the Oscars 2020.

Now the same film has landed in an unwanted controversy as many Tamil fans believed that the film is loosely based on 1999 romcom Minsara Kanna which starrs Vijay and Rambha in the lead roles.

It has been widely reported that Minsara Kanna producer PL Thenappan has decided to send legal notices to Parasite filmmakers for lifting the main plot of the film reportedly.

According to some media reports the film producer is reportedly holding talks with some international lawyer to find out whether is there any possibility of filing a case against the filmmakers on this plot row.

When asked about the same Minsara Kanna's director KS Ravi Kumar made some sensational comments in an interview given to a local channel.

"I haven't seen the Parasite film, but going by what people are saying, I think I should feel happy that I selected an Oscar-worthy story 20 years ago."
