Suspense over the Mayor Post of Nizamabad Corporation has been cleared. BJP MP Dharmapuri Aravind declared his party will sit in the Opposition due to lack of sufficient strength to claim the Mayor seat. He informed that BJP decided to step back as the combined tally of TRS, MIM and Ex-Officio Members fetched magic figure.

Dharmapuri Arvind thanked the people of Nizamabad for offering victory to BJP in 28 Divisions. He accused TRS of using money and muscle power to win the Municipal Polls. The Parliamentarian challenged whether if KCR is willing to resign if BJP proves the allegations.

It is known that none of the parties have been able to get clear majority in Nizamabad Corporation Elections. Though BJP won 28 out of 60 divisions to emerge as single largest party, It lacked the support of any other party to bag the mayor seat. On the other hand, TRS (13) and MIM (16) managed to have an upper hand in the end with the backing of Ex-Officio Members.

TRS and MIM have already begun discussion on the Mayor seat. MIM is demanding Bodhan Municipal Chairman post for extending support to TRS in Nizamabad.
