With no party having enough seats to form the government in Maharashtra, President's rule was imposed in the state. However, the Shiv Sena has termed this as a "scripted act".

Reportedly, Maharashtra is all set to witness a new government.

In a statement released by the Safron party, Amit Shah termed the President's Rule as "constitutional" and "logical" and lashed out at the opposition parties for questioning the President"s Rule.

According to close circles, Shiv Sena, Congress, and NCP leaders are trying to have a Common Minimum Programme (CMP) to form the government.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray held meetings with Congress leaders and said that the process is heading in the "right direction".

If the reports are to be believed, NCP and Shiv Sena will share the CM post as two and a half years each. Congress will get Deputy CM post. Congress will be allotted 11 posts. Shiv Sena and NCP will be sharing the Minister seats half each.
