The recent Praja Darbar event held at Nagoba of Adilabad district resulted in an ugly war of words between Minister for Forests, Environment, Endowments and Housing Allola Indrakaran Reddy and BJP MP Soyam Bapurao.

The MP alleged that the government is showing negligence in granting funds to renovate the temple and is harassing the tribals for the sake of farming in the forest lands.

He even called for unity among the tribes in order to achieve the rights of the tribals and to remove Lambadas from the list of the Scheduled Tribes. He also advised the tribals to provide their children with a good education so that they can get good jobs.

On the other hand, Indrakiran Reddy rubbished all these allegations and said that the Telangana government is giving major importance to protect the culture, traditions, and carnivals of the tribals.

He went on to say that the government has sanctioned Rs 25 crore funds to construct a tribal museum and memorial of tribal legend at Jodeghat in Keremeri Mandal. Almost Rs 13 crores were released to develop Nagoda temple and to construct the arch and other ket structures.
