Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the country had denied India's request to allow Modi's flight to use its airspace for hid visit to the Saudi Kingdom at the invitation of King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, citing alleged human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir. ICAO's main objective is to enable 193 countries to work together in the civil aviation sector. In August, when India abolished Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, the situation got worse. After the Pulwama attacks in February, India ambushed Balakot in retaliation. Pakistan has refused to allow Indian airplanes to fly in its airspace. On July 16, Indian Airlines were allowed to fly in the air. Pakistan, however, once again imposed sanctions with the repeal of Article 370.
