Nandamuri Balakrishna was the first one to book the date, 20th December for the release of his 'Ruler'. But sources say that his film is finding it tough to get enough theaters because of the competition.

Sai Tej's 'Prathi Roju Pandage' is coming on the same day. The trailer and songs created good buzz over this family entertainer and coming from 'Geetha Arts', it is getting the major share of theaters across the Telugu states. Also, Karthi's 'Donga' is arriving on 20th and with his last film 'Khaidi' becoming a huge hit, there are good expectations over this film. Reports are that it has Allu Aravind's backing.

Hindi films like Salman Khan's 'Dabangg 3' and Akshay Kumar's 'Good Newwz' are getting released on the same day. They get a lot of shows in big cities and especially Hyderabad.

On the other hand, 'Ruler' is coming with zero hype because of its routine over-the-top trailers and songs. Producer C. Kalyan is doing all he can to get sufficient theaters but let us see how this mass masala fares at the box-office.
