Based on the complaint filed by Karthik on Thursday, Police filed case against Raj Tarun under Sections 279 and 336 of the Indian Penal Code in connection with the road mishap near Alkapuri Township on Monday midnight. The Costume Designer who recorded the video of Raj Tarun running away after the car crash alleged Raj Tarun and his Manager Raja Ravindra has threatened him of dire consequences.

Upon serving notices under 41 CrPC, Madhapur DCP arrested Raj Tarun and recording of his statement. Raj Tarun admitted he lost control of the vehicle due to over-speed. Later, He was released on personal surety. The Actor was asked to appear in the court on Monday and pay the challan.

Raj Tarun's Manager Raja Ravindra accused Karthik of blackmailing using the video footage he recorded. An extortion case was booked against Karthik based on the complaint filed by him. The statement of Karthik was recorded by the police after taking him into custody. Cops are now investigating whether if the allegation is true or not.
