Is former Karnataka chief minister and JDS leader HD  Kumaraswamy planning to retire from active politics? Is he fed up with the politics of defection that has led to the fall of his government? Accoding to news agency ANI, the former chief minister who had just lost a trust vote, has told that he is contemplating to retire from politics. He said he was happy with whatever he had done for the state during his two short stints as the chief minister of the state.

It appeared that he was  fed up with the politics played by former CM and Congress leader Siddaramaiah. He feels that  Yeddiyurappa had attacked him from outside while former CM Siddaramaiah wrecked from inside. Due to this, his government was defeated during the trust vote.  After dethroning Kumaraswamy, the BJP senior leader Yeddiyurappa has taken over.

Kumaraswamy's statements assume significance as they come soon after his government's fall and ahead of the bypolls caused by the resignation of some of the Congress and the JDU MLAs. Kumaraswamy has only yesterday conducted a review of the KR Pet Assembly constituency, which is one of the constituencies going for the bypolls.
