The first day of the AP assembly began and war of words broke out between the ruling and opposition parties.

Leader of the Opposition and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president N Chandrababu Naidu garlanded the statue of TDP founder and former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao at Venkatapalem village while on his way to attend the assembly session.

Achennaidu raised the topic of PPAs in the question hour. However, the speaker denied the opposition's request of holding the discussion on PPAs in the house and asked them to come in another format. TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu said he would protest and walk out of the house if they had not get the permission on the discussion of PPAs.
