Tamil film '96' which was considered as a classic has been remade as 'Jaanu' in Tollywood. Casting Sharwanand and Samantha in the lead, the original film's director C. Premkumar worked on this film. Despite their best efforts, the film is not getting enough response from the audience. Irrespective of the decent talk it got, the collection figures are looking severely bad.


People have completely ignored this film despite having some big names like Sharwanand, Samantha and Dil Raju involved in it. The film had a solo release but it collected only 7.24 crores of share worldwide at the box-office in its first four days. This means, 'Jaanu' needs another 12 crores to reach the break even mark. Going by the current speed, this film may not recover its investment and ends up as a disaster as per trade analysts.


As Dil Raju repeats his buyers all the time, the losses may get compensated with his upcoming projects. Nonetheless, a popular film's remake turning out to be a disaster in spite of getting good talk is shocking everybody.
