Mahakutami: CPI's Ultimatum To Congress!

Tap to expand
Congress Party has wrongly assumed that a party like CPI will be more than happy to accept whatever number of seats it offers. Now, The Left Party is posing a threat to the Grand Alliance.

Initially, CPI sought 11 Seats from Congress but brought it down to 9 seats. Congress Leaders questioned the Left Party how could it demand the seats which can't be won. Then, CPI shot back questioning if there is any guarantee that Congress would win all the seats in which it would contest. A strong retort was given, 'We just sought few seats for helping you get hold of power'.

Finally, Congress made it clear that not more than 3 seats can be offered for CPI. The Left Party declared it would contest in 5 seats at any cost and also announced the list of MLA Candidates. In addition, CPI warned that it's candidates would file nomination in all the 119 constituencies if Congress Leaders file nomination in any of these 5 segments. Seems like, Congress ignored the purpose with which Grand Alliance was formed by giving least preference to the allies. It's gonna pay a heavy price if alliance partners revolt at a crucial time.
