Both ministers avoid each other

All is not well in the Karimnagar unit of the TRS. Despite a thumping majority in most local bodies and in the assembly, the TRS appears to be a divided house. The deep fissures in the party were clearly visible when the zilla parishad meeting was held on Sunday.

Both the ministers – Gangula Kamalakar and Etela Rajender played hide and seek with one another. While Gangula inspected the construction of district TRS office in the morning and attended the ZP review meet, held under the chairpersonship of K Vijaya. Though Etela was very much in the town, he did not attend the meeting in the forenoon. He entered the ZP hall only after Gangula Kamalakar left the ZP meeting hall. As Etela was making an entry, Rajya Sabha M P and senior TRS leader Captain Lakshmikantha Rao left the venue silently. After this, Etela explained about the government health policy to the ZP council and left in the evening. All through his meeting, the leaders close to Gangula were found to be absent in the hall.

Interestingly, district collector Sarfaraz Ahmed did not attend the meeting. He has landed himself in a controversy after his telephonic conversation with BJP MP Bandi Sanjay, wherein he made several stinging comments on TRS leaders. His absence was glaring. Bandi Sanjay, who is now in Delhi, too could not attend the meet. TRS MLA Rasamayi Balkishan too was absent.
