Bill Gates Purchases Hydrogen-Powered Superyacht Worth Rs 4,600 Crore

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates who happens to be the world's second-richest man has bought a futuristic superyacht that is powered by liquid hydrogen which costs around Rs 4,600 crore.

Mr. Bill Gates who has the habit to make holidays in superyacht regularly has rented superyacht for his summer trips earlier. But this time he has opted to own a superyacht for himself.


This is the first superyacht which was powered by the liquid hydrogen. The superyacht which is 370feet long comprises five decks that can accommodate 14 guests, 31 crew members, a gym, a yoga studio, a beauty room.

The Dutch design firm Sinot revealed the news at the Monaco yacht show.

"For the development of Aqua, we took inspiration from the lifestyle of a discerning, forward-looking owner, the fluid versatility of water and cutting-edge technology, to combine this in a superyacht with truly innovative features," marine designer Sander Sinot said.
