Capital shifting in AP is the most talked-about issue in recent times with the national media also covering the issue. More and more support is being poured in the protests with celebrities also supporting the protests observed by the farmers.

Talking about the capital shift BJP MP Sujana Chowdary said the Centre will interfere in the capital row if the AP government goes ahead with the capital shifting.

While talking so, Sujana has mentioned the AP Reorganisation Act 2014 and said the Centre possesses all the powers to interfere in the shifting of AP capital from Amaravati.

"The Centre is taking minute-to-minute updates on the issue. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Gangapuram Kishan Reddy has spoken on the issue, which means it is the Centre's opinion," Sujana said.

"It(Centre) will definitely support us. If not, I will not rest until the issue sees a logical conclusion in my personal capacity. If we remain mute spectators to this act of wickedness, of what use we are to the public? We brought Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, to give citizenship to those who are persecuted in other countries. But, if the state of affairs continues like this in our own State, where should we go."
