AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's three-day Delhi sojourn is one of the most successful ever by any chief minister in the recent times. Modi, who has not given time to many a CM, has allocated two hours for YS Jagan. This in itself is being seen as a great success. Almost a hour-and-a-half of this two-hour meet, was one-on-one, which again is a rare event given Modi’s penchant for short meets.

Also, Jagan was given considerable importance and Union Ministers like Amit Shah and Ravi Shankar Prasad allotted him lot of time.  Many feel that Jagan has optimally used the changed political scenario and his strengths in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to his advantage. Jagan has also raised issues like the Kadapa steel plant, Polavaram project and the ports that need to be set up along the coastline.  He has also used the opportunity to explain about the financial and fiscal position of Andhra Pradesh. It's a no brainer that Jagan would have explained about key decisions like three capitals and the abolition of the AP Legislative Council.

The anti-Jagan group is shocked at the kind of reception Jagan has got in Delhi. It was clear that the BJP needed Jagan more than Jagan needed the BJP. Hence the grand reception to YS Jagan in Delhi this time.
